Report a Policy Violation
For those who have many watchers, and for those who don’t have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.

You took something perfect, and painted it red~
This isn't supposed to look like Jessica Rabbit or Ariel, but alas, she is a red head and it was inevitable ;A; I totally got the pose from posemaniacs.com, to see if some reference in the early stages would help me calm down. It did!  I'll try and rely on my own anatomical skills next time though...I desperatley need to practice hands, for a start! *flops over* xD Going to the Cardiff devMEET tommorow with my sister, should be good! C: ALSO...to those who commented on my last journal, I'm sorry for not replying to alot of you.  I did try, believe me I did. It's just...what can I say? I was truly dumbfounded as to how to reply in earnest on that particular subject. Infact I actually spent time drafting a few long replies on word >.> They were all as dull as dishwater though... So here and now, I'd just like to say a huge thank you for those who supported me with my decision   I'll have to do a feature sometime to repay you! ;A; It won't do much...but it's something alteast! <3Tools used: Photoshop 7 (my PSCS3 is no longer on my comp for stupid reasons D: baww) and an Aiptek tablet. Time: t-too long o__o Layers: 1 (well...flattened regularly with a few overlay layers now and then. So I guess that's actually more than one layer really. :S *shot*) General critique on my work (not just this particular piece...I don't plan on repainting it you see D: ) is greatly appreciated! this is absolutely gorgeous. i mashed the fav button immdeiately. and then i saw "PRINT AVAILABLE" and my heart skipped a beat. i really want this as a print. like, it is so gorgeous. the pose is fantastic. the lips shock me-they're so perfect and full! i love how soft this piece is, but still so hard hitting and lovely! -- and his fingers ran over the text like a part of him wanted to feel the passion.  WOW level up +10 ! this is really gorgeous, the colours and the mood and the faint textures. Just a few anatomy fixes with the hands and ribcage area but I think it looks wonderful none the less! Really good colour choices!

I can't tell you how horrific my attempts at drawing hands always are! xD;; They look like something out of a horror film (like the bones have been crushed or something *shivers*), and I always put off practising them. Do you think doing quick, 1 minute studies would help with anatomy in the future, or should I perhaps take time to study an indidual area in detail? I've been agonising over which is the best way X___x; Moar procrastination! *dies*

Critiques
I really like what you did with this. I think that having a ref really helps and if you practice more with refs at hand to glance at then your proportions and poses will become easier giving you great results like this. Keep studying and practicing hands as well cause I see that one needs a little work. I applaud the way you made the red pop from the background but maybe you could give the bg a little more definition to maybe understand where she's at. I love the detail you put into her face and upper body though I couldn't figure out where her other hand went. Some parts to her somewhat blur together so I'm not sure if that's what you were aiming for with rest being more vague so the attentions on her face. Careful about how you position the picture so that it doesn't cut off in certain places giving it an uneven look. Oh, and are those petals I see? Nicely done but if you had added more maybe it would have looked even better. So all in all, I think you did a great job and improved!
