Dev Inbox = BURSTING AT THE SEAMS PPL D:I watch some really awesome people, who draw really, really quickly. I wouldn't watch them if I didn't like it, obviously, but I've realised it's getting a bit overwhelming..
Like, I'm spending all my time trying to comment on around 15 submissions made in 1 week by just 1 person, when someone submits something detailed, unique and in short AMAZING,...and I don't even look at it?? I don't even realise I've missed someone's last 2 or 3 pictures cause I'm too busy running after someone else all the time
There is such a thing as too much awesomeness...ARGH, let me explain this better!! *fail* It's like, yes I love your work, but it looks like your last dev, and the one before that, and the one before that too. Drawing anime portraits with the same expression is a skill, and it's one you've already perfected. Try something...else? DD; I don't mean to sound like a biatch for saying this, but I'm running out of things to say about what is essentially the same picture, drawn with maybe a different hair or eye colour occasionally. I'm looking back at my own gallery, and I've done it. Fook yeah.
People can say 'WELL IF U DUN LEIK IT WHY WATCH THEM???', and they're probably right, but you know what? I have friends and people I really love on this site. Subsequently, I love thier art too. But you can have too much of a good thing.
I don't mean to sound like a whiny 15 year old troll, but I am one, so that's how it comes across :U
TL;DR:
My dev inbox is currently being spammed by the same few people. I'd say it's only about 3% of the people I watch who do it, but nearly 100% of my attention is going on them. WHUT??
I'm not going to -watch you, but I'm just saying: maybe spend a little more time on one unique, detailed piece instead of submitting doodle after doodle after doodle with the same pose, no background, and the same expression. I am also a culprit of this TTATT *fail train*btw, I know my sister is on DA xDD Not going to ask for her account though. EVER DD: *hides under rock*

I have like about 10 pieces that are all pretty unique and are more detailed and have bgs, but haven't finished because I'm lazy. lol.

Critical thinking is the key to success.
I know a lot of the people I watch submit a lot of stuff all at once... I'm talking like, 20+ things!! And a lot of times they all look the same! X_x Especially the doll photographers. Some of them I just don't receive their deviations anymore, because I can't keep up. So I'll just go to their page now and then and sift through all the stuff to see if there's anything that stands out. Maybe you could try that? Or at least... don't worry so much about commenting on everything.
I do agree there should be a lot more experimenting, and stepping outside of our artistic comfort zone. I imagine we're all guilty of that sometimes.

one of my favorite artist usually updates once every two months, but when he does, it's like ten amazing pics at once *arugh* but i can only browse a few at a time. which reminds me yet again, i need to sort out my watchlist people and drop a few. i think they know it's not personal so i don't even feel sorry anymore vv;; then again, i can't talk, i haven't upload anything OTL
sometimes i don't know how to comment some art work that looks like the last art they had submited
